About Us

The Koinonia Foundation was created to bring unity, support, and opportunity to the Lower Richland community. Our name reflects our belief in fellowship and shared responsibility — neighbors helping neighbors, and generations supporting one another.

We focus on two vital groups within our community: youth and seniors.

For youth, especially those considered at risk, we provide tutoring services, recreational programs, and hands-on summer STEM camps that strengthen academic performance while building social and life skills.

For seniors, we offer education about available community resources, help connect them to needed services, assist with minor home repairs, and organize social activities and outings that promote connection and well-being.

Our goal is simple: to create a stronger, more connected community where people of all ages feel supported, valued, and empowered.
